The status bar will also become surrounded by a purple aura over the mobs' heads and in the primary target's bar. When you hit an enemy with Vulnerable, you will also see the word 'Vulnerable' appear next to the affected enemy or enemies, underneath their status bar. You will also see the word 'Vulnerable' pop up in big letters next to you when you become Vulnerable after a hit. This can overlay other globe conditions as well. When you are Vulnerable, you will see this reflected in your health globe. Most of the time, Vulnerable only lasts a few seconds, meaning that a little defensive behavior during this time will not take you out of the combat game long. Barriers and Fortify will take 20% more damage against their protection, but at least this will help you survive. There isn't a way to shed Vulnerable once you have it, although you can help power through it by using a Barrier or Fortify.
